Jessy is happy to have a bit of time off
I pampered them all summer and when I went back to work, I had no pain at all.
A month into the semester, and the tootsies are trashed. I am now taping them every day and wearing orthotics from dawn to bedtime.
What has brought them to this sorry state?
Problem 1: Parking is a nightmare, and I often have to walk pretty far to get to my building.
Problem 2: We got a furniture upgrade in our classrooms. I am sure they thought they did well by taking the faculty’s lecterns and stools and giving us desks and comfortable chairs. But whoever decided on desks and chairs was not a teacher. I have to see my students, and if I can’t perch on a stool, I have to stand. Enough of us complained that our division chair ordered lecterns and stools for every room back in July, but they are not here yet.
No solution to Problem 1 yet, but I did bring a stool from home to solve Problem 2.
In the meantime, I must go easier on the feet.
