learn to tie knots

I’m talking proper knotting, learning how to knot, the names of the knots and when you would use them.

Because I drive a pickup I’ve helped a lot of people move and carried a lot of odd loads and while my tie-downs have always been pretty secure they are clearly improvised and take far too long to undo. After a near disaster with the tackle-and-block hoist I built for our kayaks I’d like to know how to efficiently tie off a secure knot or two. This is one of those basic skills guys are spozed to know or be born with but it would behoove me to to do a little study and practice. 8 months ago
