get a miniature schnauzer

I just got a mini Schnauzer yesterday and she is adorable! She is black, clumsy and has lots of personality. So far, I have been impressed at the fact that she doesn’t bark a lot or make a lot of noise. Also, she is very affectionate. The only thing I am worried about is training her. We picked puppy pads at the store yesterday, but it looks like she thinks they are toys, rather than her “bathroom”.I still am not sure what to name her, so if you have any ideas, let me know.

...because we’re moving to a place that allows absolutely no pets. Some day, though, this will make it back onto my list of goals.

I got a dog after years of being a cat person. I did a LOT of research before deciding what type of dog fit my lifestyle and personality. Nothing beats a mini schnauzer! They’re extremely smart – potty training and learning tricks usually only takes a few days. They DON’T SHED! No dog hair on anything since they are one of the very few “non-shedding” breeds. Great personality and lots of it! Loves people, likes to be treated as part of the family. Extremely loyal and protective. Small down side is they tend to bark a lot at people and other animals when they’re outside because of their need to feel they’re protecting you and warding off potential harm. Also must be groomed regularly to keep the schnauzer look – otherwise they look like a shaggy mutt.
