Complain to the Robots about the new subscriptions page

Since after some time I did realize that “Complain to the robots” doesn’t mean only posting it as a goal but actually involves writing to the Robots I thought that precisely that should be the next logical step. But somehow I never have the time to talk to Robots. So I have to face the fact that there’s no telling when I’m going to get to it and since it’s not something I yearn to do, I’ll sort of give up on it. At least as long as it takes me to figure out how to say it Spanish and add it to 43cosas list, since the complaint I have is connected with 43cosas.

It would be nice to be able to mark it as worth doing since Robots really corrected a lot of things, but I can’t do it yet. There’s still the question of no Subscription page in Spanish. If it’s so difficult (or maybe not necessary being 43 Cosas ain’t so popular) maybe dear Robots could just add the entries in Spanish to the general Subscription page?
How many goats I have to sacrifice to get this wish?
Or maybe I should take more modern approach and try to convince more people to use 43 Cosas and therefore enlarge the number of potential protestants.

I felt a bit like what Ember said here, but what was bothering me the most were old subscriptions reappearing out of nowhere, and being unable to delete them. Now that’s fixed, so there isn’t really something to compalin about. I still prefer the old subscriptions page (goals, entries and comments were easier to differentiate, at least to me), but I guess I’ll just have to live with that.
On the other hand, I love the “add a reminder” option, and I’d like to thank the Robots for that! :)

A few days ago I was on about page 3 of my subscriptions when I saw entries that were weeks old, only they showed up with new dates. I went to the person’s page to make sure that I was seeing it right and there was definitely a problem. I’m not sure that it’s happened since, but I’d have more confidence in the entries (meaning that I wouldn’t miss any) if someone could confirm that this bug has been found and fixed.

First off, I agree that change is good. I am not complaining, these are just my thoughts on the new 43Peeps Subscription Page.

There was something about the look and feel that we all liked about the old page. The new page on 43Peeps has been available for quite some time, yet most of us put up with “Ooops” rather than use the 43Peeps page before we were forced to change.

The biggest difference that I see is the column with the entries is on the right side of the 43Peeps page and it was on the left side of the old page. I’ll bet that’s why the proportions seemed different to Des. While I can see logically why it’s on the right, I prefer it on the left. It’s much more comfortable and natural to read with the main column on the left.

Goals, entry titles, and comment titles are actually better on the “new” page. I agree with the others, though, who would like to see the comment title immediately before the body of the comment.

I’d like to see a link for “comments” like on the old page. It would be so much easier to make a comment (or read others) directly from the subscription page.

The last important thing (to me) is to have a direct link to my 43T page from my subscription page.

I’d like an option to see entries from by subscribers limited by site, i.e. only see their ideas on ideas.43things, their places on 43 Places, etc., or better yet, be able to check off which Robot Coop sites I want to see their entries from that day.

Ok, I see some improvements in the new 43T pages, but the lack of Application error pages it ain’t.

...the new page being harder to read (which I’ve addressed elsewhere), and the comment title/entry title/goal title thing being all mixed up, my major complaint is that it updates so slowly. The people I subscribe to have made comments that show up on the Zeitgeist recent comments page, but still haven’t shown up on subscriptions. It makes it hard to hold a “conversation”. Ideally, this delay would be no longer than 10 minutes.
