How to teach a dog a trick

"he is 7 years old and he learned so fast!"
How I did it: taught duke how to high five.
you can teach an old dog new tricks!
i used treats and held them high in the air while extending my hand for a high five.
sometimes i would pick his front legs up and show him how to do it.
when he would come up, i would reward him, and he eventually caught on.
i also repeated the command "high five" so he would know what i wanted in the future.
Lessons & tips: be patient and keep at it.
use treats!
