become a travel writer

I want to see it all and write about it!

I have written several travel articles that were published. Now I’m putting together a travel memoires book. I love traveling, and I love telling other people about it. So there it is.

In the process of doing this now

Traveling the world and writing features has always been my dream job! I would love to find out how to make that happen.

You have to start somewhere, right?

I’m shelving this one for right now. I realized that I liked the idea of travel writing. I even wrote and submitted articles. HOWEVER, there are other things that bring me more joy and excitement right now, so I’m focusing on those. :)

Yay! I submitted my first article for publication! Woooohooo! It’s an online publication. I heard from them, sort of. Now I am just waiting to hear if they will publish it or not. The main thing is I got over the hump and sent it in! :D

Next frontier: Submission!

SO I realized that I bit off more than I could chew with a large article, so I decided to switch it up, and opted to write a shorter piece. Around 500 words. It’s pretty much done. Just waiting for a couple people to critique it for me. Then I will send it out.

Because this is the one that is staring me in the face and scaring the crap out of me! I think it’s because I know I’m really close. I’ve got an editor waiting for one article from me, and there are two (or more) other places I know I can submit to and get published very soon. Just gotta write, write, edit, write, edit some more…then stop editing and writing and just submit!!!!!!
