keep my cell phone charged

Today it went off during a meeting. HUMILIATING! It embarrassed me so much for some reason. These are the downsides to being available 24/7.

I’m always, always, always getting complaints because people are never able to reach me. It’s not that I turn my phone off or I’m not interested in calling them back, it’s just that my phone turns off or it’s not with me and time elapses and it’d be embarrassing to call them back a week later. This is really a mindfulness goal about how my actions impact other people’s lives.

I’ve been charging my phone at work lately. Somehow, that’s easier for me to remember. Now I just have to remember to check for messages.

I’m so bad about leaving it in my purse for a couple of days, and then finding that it’s dead when I want to use it. I’ve got to make it part of my evening routine to make sure the cell phone is plugged in!
