How to go to Jamaica
It made me
feel well-traveled
 "I went on a study abroad program, and got to see a completely different side of Jamaica than a tourist would."
How I did it: I studied abroad at the University of Mona in Jamaica over the summer, which is right by Kingston. We learned about the music, history, and culture of the island and got to interact with the people a lot. It was a very neat experience, but if I ever went back, I would totally go the way of the tourist! Beaches were in short supply near our university...

i recommend not going off grounds of the hotel…only for group tours…hotels are beautiful…went last june..went to margarittaville in montego bay and some jamaican prick stole my cell he keeps calling me…..

Probably in my top 5 places in the world. SO beautiful, the people are genuinely kind and the culture is fascinating. I’ve been twice and the most recent time, my tour guide (Bunney) gave me and my family a special tour, and he took us all around Ocho Rios and a tour inside of a beautiful hilltop mansion (which I’ll never forget), and we got sugar cane! Yum, yum!

Jamaica trip

I was all set to go to Jamaica for the past three months got my passport and everything! Found out since my cousin procrastinated on getting his passport and won’t be able to make the trip since his job was paying for the trip and he’s not going now.. They told me I couldn’t go since he wasn’t going and it wasn’t specifically for me. I bought the passport and even took vacation from my job to go this saturday but now I just found out today that I will not be going. I will keep Jamaica on my list of things to do!

Small set back: April won’t work. I had this semester’s schedule wrong. It’s no biggie though, we’re just going to go in May.
It’ll give us more time to prepare anyway, Jake still needs his passport.
I’ve got over $300 saved up :)
Plus a big old jar of change that will be our drug money, haha!
