I’ve never, ever, EVER had a flat stomach. Maybe the last time I had one was when I was maybe, hmmm…3?
How to get a flat stomach
How I did it: 1. instead of eating a couple big meals, many small meals every day, 6 or so small meals each day. dont forget to brush teeth :) not too hard tho haha ur dentist will get pissed! lots of small meals keeps your metabolism high, which not only keeps calories burning but gives you way more energy :)
2. first meal, carbohydrates- anyone who says you shouldnt have any carbs is dumb, mostly cause no carbs hurts brain function! frosted mini wheats, cheerios, oatmeal, who cares but have some carbohydrates in the morning along with some fruit (sugar to wake you up a bit!)
3. avoid carbs late in the day, it wont help, try to focus on protean like beans and fish/chicken. also obviously cut mayonaise/etc out of your diet as much as possible.
4. walk as much as you can, I walked to work each day about a mile, walk to get lunch and back.
Lessons & tips: its really hard to get into these habits at first, try to get friends or family to do it with you at least for a while so you have some support, but after a couple weeks it gets way easier and about a month in it is just like riding a bike

so, i’ve been working out. a lot. cardio. strength training. trying to concentrate on my core. so far i’ve lost an inch from my waist and an inch from my hips and my thighs are smaller…but my stomach hasn’t budged. it’s a little frustrating. any suggestions? something else i should be doing??
God, I want this sooo bad. You dont know until you have been there. When will I lose it??
I have never been one for exercise. But trying to complete this goal has gotten me really into it. I’m actually looking forward to my workouts! But right now my abs are huuuurrrrting. It’s good though—it means I’m doing something!

I’m 48. I am really working at giving up these goals of being young and beautiful. It just isn’t going to happen. I exercise regularly – some might think excessively. I have run four marathons and two dozen half marathons in the last three years. I can swim a mile without stopping.
I will get over not being skinny with a flat belly. F* societies idea of what is beauty and that we aren’t worth a shit if we don’t have it.
I’ve started a journal tracking my progress. It’s a good way to see what I’ve done every day, and a good way to motivate me: I can look back and see where I was and where I am now! I’ve combined toning exercises with lots of cardio—gotta burn the fat to show the muscle!! I’m hoping I’ll have completed this goal in the next month or so.
