As of this Tueday we have a new realtor and mortgage broker. Within a hour of speaking to the realtor he had sent me an email of prospective properties and also gotten my info to the mortgage broker. The mortgage broker got in touch with me within the hour and anwsered all my questions.
We now have 11 or 12 properties we’re hoping to see. The sooner we get in the better! Can’t wait!

that I want to find us a home before October? That’s a reasonable timeline, don’t you think?

My boyfriend and I have been looking for a home together for nearly a year and we have nothing to show for it. House hunting has filled many sundays and endless hours between online searches and actual visits. And I feel like we will never find a place! The experience has been both enjoyable and excruciating. It’s fun seeing new homes and imagining how we would make it our own. Then the reality sets in and the black cloud passes over and squashes our hopes. We’ve done near 10 contracts with no results. I sometimes think it’s the realtor we are using, a friend’s father, but then I wonder if we are just meant to live with his parents forever! I so want to have our own home so I can cook when I want and how I want, so I don’t have to worry about cleaning up the second I make a mess of something, so my dog can run a muck in the house if she wants to, so I can get another dog, so I can be the woman of the house, so I can walk around naked. I want to celebrate milestones and holidays in our home and I want to decorate however I want. I want to find a home cause it means we are one step closer to being engaged which puts us closer to being married and means we can have children without having my family turn their noses up to us and snicker about us behind our backs.

muddart is really, really tired, but can't sleep
Well, I still haven’t sold my old house, but I have found a new place. It will be a tight budget until the house sells, but I think it will be worth it.

I moved last fall, and still haven’t sold my house back in my previous city, and so living in temporary situation. All my stuff is in storage. I’d like to have my own place again… or even live with other people if it were the right situation.

Almost but no

We were looking at a mobile home in a part for $7000. They were willing to take payments and it didn’t seem too bad. The second time we went back, we realised that there was just too much wrong and it would take more money than we have to make this place a little bit more livable so we decided to pass. :(

because I don’t have a home despite having 3 “homes”. I work and live on a construction site plus I have an apartment that I never am at and the default family home that I visit a few times a year to see my sister and ‘rents.
I want a home of my own.
