No one told me that it makes a difference when you fill these out. Finally, the lady in the employment office gave me the low down. I got $1000 more this year when I got mine finished by January 1st. I will always do mine on January 1st. It is a first come, first serve basis (not fair I know)! You will still receive money but not as much as those who applied before you.

When they see what I’m worth, will they pay for me to go or tell me I can’t afford graduate school?
I’ve never had much debt of my own. We’ll see how this works out.
I believe financial aid sucks but hey its worth a try just to better your education

Oooh… why do they want to know whether I was born before or after Jan 1, 1983? It really does matter whether I’m 22 or 23 for determining dependent status. Guess I should wait until after my birthday to finish filing.

Do you apply for financial aid after you’ve already agreed to enroll at a school, or do you do it anywhere you’re accepted, whether you’re going there or not?
Also: any advantages to applying at a particular time of year? Any reason to wait a little while and apply after my next birthday?
