buy a dress

Went shopping yesterday for jeans (had to!) and while I was out (over three hours and five stores looking for jeans that weren’t stretchy), I browsed through the dresses for sale. There are some cute sundresses out there! But, had to have nice jeans for work, so the dress will have to wait. But soon….

Yes, I’m a woman. I can be a bit of a tomboy, though. You know, jeans, t-shirts, flip-flops, hair in a pony tail.

Every once in a while, I’d like to really go all out. I just had my hair cut in this great, easy style. I’m losing weight and getting back in shape…I want to show off my inner Lioness. Problem is….I have nothing that makes me look like a woman, let alone feel like a woman.

So, step number 2 (number 1 is losing weight): buy a dress. Nothing fancy. Definitely something that’s a keeper (I hate shopping, so it will need to be in a style that will last a few seasons).

Step number 3 is, of course, finding the right shoes to go with the dress. But, one thing at a time.

Okay I got this really cute dress, its just a cotton dress with this cute as floral pattern, and I feel really beautiful in it! I got it today, and a pair of shoes to match :)

When I was a kid I used to always wear dresses.. then I lost confidence as I got older and didn’t think my body suited dresses.. I recently bought a dress, a cute peach coloured dress and I want o buy more and become a regualar dress wearer!

I havent worn a dress in 7 years. I never thought I had the body for a dress. Skinny and flat chested (32 A) :( I always wanted to wear dresses but I hated the way I looked in them. I was too uncomfortable.I have gained 5 pounds since I started my gain 15 pounds goal and I think I’m ready to do this. Maybe something little and black and sexy! ;) LOL

Go by yourself
Have lots of time
Eat something before
Look only for dresses
Don’t try on too many, just the ones you really like
Tell yourself it’s OK not to buy anything today
Don’t focus on price
If you came back to it, you probably want it :-)

But I couldn’t find one so I got this one instead. Which I think is lovely. I’m going to wear it to my stepmum’s birthday party next week.

I’m hoping soonish to buy a few dresses, as well as make some. This year is really dress year where I live, but I can never decide! Hopefully something simple, but cute, possibly from Jeans West.
