My family loves me, but we have a horrible relationship. I think it is because I have a different personality then most people in my family. They can’t relate to or understand my lifestyle. Maybe someday I can have a good relationship with them. 4 years ago

My fiance is helping me a lot with this. We had a mother’s day party and we’re going to do it for father’s day too. I think this is going to solve my problem entirely. There’s just no communication in my family. I mean lack of frequency, not an inability. 6 years ago

This is being made much more difficult by the fact that my brother is trying to do sales techniques on all of us.

However, my being engaged is causing me to have more to do with my family than usual, and it’s kinda nice. 6 years ago

I do, really. But we don’t talk enough to be really close, and the older I get, the more I see love relationships as transient (that’s sad…) and the more important family and friends are. 7 years ago

My birthday was Wednesday and I dinner with my family and my husband. They’re all wonderful. Pain in the ass sometimes, of course. But all-in-all – they’re are a blast and I’m pretty lucky. 7 years ago
