start a novel

I started this. I totally didn’t finish NaNo, but whatevers. I’m a perfectionist, so I couldn’t really get NaNo and it’s whole “forget about the mistakes” attitude. So far, 3,000 some odd words. I love this story I’m writing. It’s all of my ideas from my childhood mixed into one big tale. I love it so much, but my fingers hurt so bad! Hopefully, I’ll get it all done next year.

It sucks of course. These things always do when you start. But I simply started writing which is already a good thing.

I had an excellent idea for a novel. The best way to write is to write about stuff you know, right? Well, that’s what I’m gonna do! Now… how to start, how to start? :)

BUT IT SUCKS.
Well, kind of. So I would start all over again.
Gah.

I’ve done this I just have to finish it now :D

Well I finally started.
With help though.
The mentor said that the best way to think about novel writing was that it is a collection of short stories about the same characters. this made the task seem less daunting.
also that you should jsut write ..the story will emerge.
