How to go parasailing

How I did it: While visiting Provo in the Turks & Caicos, my family and I booked a trip to go parasailing with two guys that were recommended by some guys hanging out on the beach. Our hotel did not recommend these excursions but I was determined to do it over the beautiful blue waters of this island. We jumped on board their boat and they introduced themselves as "Junior" and "Luke Skywalker" and then handed us papers to sign I imagine to protect themselves in case they killed us. Yeah we got a little concerned then, even more so when we got up in the air and looked up and noticed several tears in the sail, but what to do, there we were 800 feet in the air with our two kids in the boat below with two guys who didn't give us their true names. So we told each other to relax and enjoy. The view was beautiful and it was so quiet and peaceful. We could see the whole island and every reef down below. I'd do it again just maybe not with "Junior" and "Luke" Lessons & tips: Don't book a trip from some guys that hang out under a pier at the beach. I typically hate heights, and rides such as rollercoasters but I read this was different and it was! It was very relaxing and we were 800ft in the air and it didn’t even seem like it! I was supposed to go this summer in Ocean City, and out of the group of people I was supposed to go with, I was the one who was the most afraid, but when it came time to go, I was actually really excited. Unfortunately, when the day came, the adult my friend and I were going with chickened out. Next year at the beach though, i’ll be old enough to go with someone as the adult. Wish me luck!

gave me a gift certificate on Mother’s Day to go parasailing while on our vacation to the Turks & Caicos, so here soon I will be flying high over beautiful blue water. I’m so excited.
Well, was going to do this when I was in the Bahamas in Feb. but the weather was bad and we didn’t even get to stop at the island so it go cancelled. I’m hoping that when I head down the shore in June I can do it. Won’t be as cool as doing it in the Bahamas (or as blue) but it will still be awesome.

I sure wish I could accomplish this goal on some exotic vacation in Hawaii, Greece, The Bahama’s, etc, but that’s not likely going to happen. So, in order to accomplish this goal soon, I have to start small. My mom lives in Corona Del Mar, CA. This is right next to Balboa Island where they do have a parasailing company there. I’m going to southern CA in June and as part of my birthday celebration, I hope to do this.
I am planning a double birthday party for my best friend and my boyfriend at Block Island, Rhode Island. I am looking into us (and our friends) to all go parasailing. My sister and my dad went a few years back, and I am hoping to do the same.
I’m going on a cruise next month and this is one of the shore excursions I booked.
I have missed two opportunities to do this. One was due to rain and the trip was canceled. This summer I got so sunburned I could barely even walk, much less go parasailing. My children went though and loved it. We are all planning on doing this next summer and I will be staying out of the sun.
