    i think i’m starting to get the hang of this. things get easier when you realise that each clue actually contains a description of the answer (eg a synonym), as well as the cryptic clue. i’m a fan of the multiple-word ones cause they’re a bit easier to guess. Like “favourable outcome for a large number” = a good deal. And for most of them, you can guess the answer from the synonym rather than the cryptic clue. So how about “sharpen the ends carefully, dear” = honey. so to sharpen = hone, but what about the y? has that got to do with the “ends carefully” part? i guess so…. they’re pretty well thought-out, i reckon.
