finish the album

After tonight, we just have to finish TWO TRACKS! WOOHOO!!!

One of the artists I produce for, and a good friend of mine, Wilskinit always tells me I need to get from behind the boards and the MPC and get back in front of the mic again. Him and another artist Ron Rizzle had me hyped enough to get 16 bars outta me a year ago. It felt good. I said i would never spit again after everything that happened with my music in the past. that i would focus solely on producing. But seeing Skinit so inspired and energized after spending a few months in Jamaica has got me itching to pick up the pen and start writing again. I think if I can manage to finish 8 tracks with a theme i will be able to shed the ghosts of the past and move forward with my life and music. I hope someone reads this and gives me another kick in the a$$. i need this.

So it turns out moving into a place, building Ikea furniture, organizing, starting a new diet with a totally new kind of cooking (really un-cooking), working a full-time job that sometimes requires you to be in another state, having some semblance of a social life so you don’t lose all your friends, and planning for the holidays, uh, take a lot of time. Oh, and don’t forget working out.

So, yeah, not to make excuses, but haven’t done anything on the album in a couple weeks. I don’t know if we’re going to get it done before xmas like we wanted.

As the PC is up and running so I can continue with the Album. First track now just needs guitars and vocals.
