Just finished this one last week. It is written by an neuroscientist but too much of the book is mere anecdotes and obvious psychology. Still, some parts – especially those regarding childhood development – are worthwhile.
How to read a book for pleasure every month
How I did it: I found a book I thought would be interesting and read it on my spare time. I love fiction (especially anything by Nicolas Sparks) and I always kept my mind opened to different types of books.

The Neuroscience of Everyday Life. I seem to be on a kick about how the mind works. This book presented the subject from a layman’s perspective. I’ve moved on to another book by an actual neuroscientist called Why We Believe What We Believe. It’s about how the brain perceives the world and forms beliefs. It’s a more difficult book, but quite interesting.
