Southwestern Creamed Beef
How I did it: I used cook books and tried new things... sometimes I would try more than one recipe a month and then I could skip a month but still have something to fill in. I'm glad that I did it because I've found a lot of really good recipes that both my hubby and I enjoy...
Lessons & tips: Use a cook book and ask friends/family for help if you don't know how to do something...

I can’t believe I’ve done this for a year… I suppose I could mark this off as “done” but I like this one too much… I’ll keep it on until I need more room.
FYI: This is a great goal… sign up! It’s fun and easy!

Garlic Chicken
This recipe actually called for game hens but I had chicken in the freezer so I used that instead. Very flavorful… a bit too pungent for me though.
4 Cornish game hens
Extra-virgin olive oil
1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
2 Tbs. bottled lemon juice
1 Tbs. herbes de Provence
1 jar (6oz) prepeeled whole garlic
Rub olive oil and salt/pepper on poultry… broil until skin turns golden. Combine soup, lemon juice & herbes in bowl… put everything in slow cooker, cover and cook on high for 3-5 hours.
PixelFun is excited about Christmas!!
I have not been participating in this one. I really should.

Teriyaki Chicken Noodle
My husband’s neice is spending the week with us and she picked out this recipe which surprised me because there were cooked carrots and spiniach in it. It turned out… soso, I over cooked the somen noodles so they were a sticky goooey mess. I don’t think I’m make it again, only because I’m not a big teriyaki person and neither is hubby…
