got started thinking about the next year of schooling… and even though I found a box of completely good pens, the kind that doesn’t dry up or randomly stop working, I bought 2 more packs at Office Max (where I may be starting a new job soon, HELP!)... they’re color coded, which I won’t have time to use to their intended purpose, which I know, and I knew when I bought them… but the lure was too strong… sigh… 4 years ago

I’ve been working on this one long enough now that I think that I’ve pretty much got it accomplished! Sounds crazy to have an addiction to buying Ink pens.. but it’s true! I’m still not going to mark this one off until I have used up the majority of the ink pens.. which would be like a couple hundred more! Wish me luck! 5 years ago

Despite the fact that I just bought some new pens not that long ago, and I got one for Christmas, I was at the store today and there was a pack of decent ones on sale for 88 cents and I just HAD to buy them… sigh… maybe I’m not as over this as I thought I was… 6 years ago

So, I actually got to the point where I NEEDED to buy new pens! It’s amazing, I never thought I’d actually get here. And now that I am, the compulsion to keep buying them isn’t as strong… it’s still there, but it’s something I can(somewhat) easily say “I don’t need them, so I’m not going to buy them.” YAYNESS! 6 years ago

I think I’m almost out! Some of them had less ink in them than I previously thought, so when they ran dry, I threw them out. I think I have less than a dozen now! I’m so excited! Of course, I am about to clean again, and may find several that have been hiding, but I think I may get the chance to buy some more before the end of the spring semester at school! 6 years ago

Ok, so this goal is about ME NOT BUYING INK PENS. Right? Ughh well me and my boyfriend took some trips this summer… and I wanted souvenirs.. I didn’t buy them. He did. In the beginning I believe that my goal was to not buy them or steal them. I am keeping up with that … but somehow when I look at those 14 new ink pens on the computer desk… I feel like I’m failing miserably at this goal. Ughh… How can such a simple thing be so hard to get rid of. I mean people… I have quit smoking.. but I cant quit buying ink pens.. 6 years ago

I bought one. It was a green pen, but it was necessary. Necessaary in the fact that I wanted it, and had a use in mind for it. I needed green ink for a birthday letter for someone. ::sigh:: well, I haven’t bought more than that! That’s a good thing! I haven’t bought but that one, I don’t think in however long I’ve had this goal, so YAY! That doesn’t mean I’m getting closer to using all of them up though… I think there’s a fountain of ink pens somewhere in my room, they just keep popping up! 6 years ago

So, this whole ink pen thing…. it’s going good. I’ve got one ink pen since I started this, and it was the other day when Chris was laughing at me not getting a pen in so long… and he gave me a really pretty pen from the company where he works LOL. Other than that… I’ve done really good. No stealing from the banks.. or friends… or buying everytime that I go to WalMart. 6 years ago

I went to Office Max to pick up some filler papers for my organizer and they’re right across from where all the pens are. I didn’t buy any. I really really wanted to, but I didn’t. This shows improvement and that I have some sort of willpower. That’s a good thing. Maybe my will power will transfer over into, say, working out. That’d be a good thing. Wow, did I get off track easy. Anyways, I did buy a notebook, but it had a pretty cover and was just absolutely perfect, the pages were divided right for writing a story, I even started writing some ideas in it earlier… and I don’t count it as a failure that I bought yet another notebook, because it wasn’t a composition notebook, it was on sale, I’m using it, I didn’t buy any pens to go with it, and I don’t have any goals about not buying any more notebooks. So, yeah. I really wanted to buy some pens though. I really really did, there were these nice ones that looked so cool… but I didn’t. I’m proud of myself. 7 years ago

It seems like it’s been longer than that since I said I’d stop buying them. But I haven’t yet! In fact, I’ve given away about 20 of them! I did find about 5 in my car (I left those there, in case I wanted to write something while I was in my car. I found that useful today, waiting to pick up one of the kids I babysit after school.) and I have about 15 others floating around my room, and I also found a brand new, never been opened package of pens as I was cleaning my room… So now I have 2 in my purse, 5 in my car, 3 in the emergency bag stowed in my car (so I guess that makes it 8 in the car…), strewn all over my room, in various notebooks (stories I’m working on or thinking about working on), various puzzle books (like Fill-ins, or Sudoku), and on/in my desk. So, it’s still a lot of pens, I don’t need to buy as many, and always having at least one on hand has made it less of a problem… so has not having the money to go shopping for non-necessities… 7 years ago

Well… it’s been awhile since I was on here… but since I did decide to drop in and write a little I was TOTALLY relieved to see that there are more people out there hahaha. Good luck fireflys87!! The other day at work there was a guy who brought in a ton of ink pens… he’s running for some office in the May Primary… and was giving out pens… even though it was just a stupid white BIC with his name on it ….. it just about drove me crazy not getting to take one haha. I’m not the only person with this insane habit? I think I’ve given away most of mine… I only have about 47 left… that’s a good thing… Maybe I’ll be able to buy some more by Christmas? A present for myself… ok, I have a feeling I’ll want desperately to buy myself some new ones, especially when summer starts and I’ll be gone all the time, and I’ll want to write because I won’t have my computer with me all the time… but I have enough pens, I don’t need to buy special ones just to take on the road with me. I don’t. And I need to make sure I always have at least 2 in my purse at all times, so that I’m not tempted to buy one out of necessity. I can do this. I really can.
While I’m at it, I need to stop buying those composition notebooks… I buy one for every story idea I have (along with the pens), but I almost never end up filling them… I have about 15 that are completely empty, with no pages torn out or anything written on them… probably as many with stuff written in them, though… it’s so hard to resist buying them, though, especially at Target where they’re under a dollar (everywhere else overprices them)... call me crazy, but I have a notebook and pen fetish. I WILL stop buying them until I need more thouh. I will. 7 years ago

Last night I had to go to WalMart to get somethings for the house and for school…. I don’t know how many times that I walked past the inkpens and just wanted to buy one!!! With college starting back… I can think of TONS of reasons to buy a stupid ink pen. I found some more and done another count last night and I’m up to 79 ink pens.. plus the 4 that’s actually getting used here at the house! That’s crazy… I really can’t figure it out either! Tonight I counted the pens and stuff that I could find laying out in the open. So, this isn’t the total count… drum roll please! 67 pens, 35 pencils, & 37 colored pens/markers. That’s alot!! And think .. I’ve not even started yet! 7 years ago

why, but since I was little i’ve had some wierd addiction to buying ink pens!! LoL.. it’s crazy.. anytime that I go anywhere.. I can always come back with an ink pen. I’m sure that if I counted I’ve got a couple hundred here now!! I don’t ever want to buy another ink pen until I use all of the ones that I have here now… the only exceptions will be if I don’t have a color that I really need not want but need.. or if it’s gave to me ( I can’t steal it LoL! ).
