spring clean

We have started this goal with some throwing out and moving things to the shed. We will continue to do this until we eventualy have the house in order. I will think more about what I want to achieve with this goal and write more in coming days.

Holy hell, my laundry bin actually has a bottom to it ;) Yes I am now finally up to date with my washing HUZZAH!

Also hoovered the first 2 floors of the house (still need to do this top floor though) and spent some more time sorting out my room. I hate paperwork… At least I found a sizeable chunk that I can shred though :/ Now I’ve just gotta find those 2 bank statement that I’m missing, as I’m going self-employed and have to do my own tax return this year :S eeks! Scary! But yes… I know they’re here somewhere!

In the meantime I want to go through more of my old clothes to give to charity. I’ve got a donations bag that’s been half full for a few months now so hopefully I can finish that off. Then it’s off to Sis’ for 6pm. Busy busy busy!

working on organizing all closets this week, and getting rid off old clothes that kids no longer fit.

Will also get rid off most things in my wardrobe.
(then i will have no choice but to go shopping :) )

would like to move to a bigger place, and i dont want to bring any “junk” with us

Now that i am moving (just bought a unit – yay!) this goal will be easy. The best and most effective way to spring clean is being forced to go through all your stuff, pack it up in boxes and move it to a new location! So this will be done gradually over the next 6-8 weeks as this is when we will move into our new home!

Am back home now after spending most of this month at the camp helping lead bushcraft&survival courses and then 2days in Glastonbury.
What a state the house was in. I carpet swept downstairs 3times, did a load of washing (need to do another today), tidied the study, replaced 3 lightbulbs, and tidied my room so it doesn’t look like a dumping ground any more.

Today I’m gonna hoover the middle floor and maybe the top too.

I need to get 2x large frames (about A3 sized) and 2×5x7” frames for two of my ink prints and 2 gorgeous cards to go over my wash stand and dressing table. It’s settled, the pike is gonna go above my TV and stereo.

Only one weekend left until Spring begins – Yay!! i cannot wait, i can feel it in the air!! So i think this weekend might be the one. Which works out fantastically as we are (hopefully) moving soon, so a spring clean will mean less major cleaning to do when the time actually comes. Wish i could give my head a spring clean too….

Guess I missed this year. But there’s still time left for fall cleaning, so I’m going to shoot for that instead. (And if I miss, this goal will come back.)

It was a nice idea, but it didn’t work out. However, I did do some cleaning and tidying that I otherwise wouldn’t have done, so it wasn’t a total loss. I’ll still work on these goals, but under their own entries.

Right, it’s clean enough for now. Made a HUGE difference to it that day, but am only just updating now… And yes, I did find the pike head.

The pike is rather shiney now as a result of WD40 and a rag, then a good scrubbing with a hard brush and wire wool, and a final coat of WD40 to seal it and hopefully stop it rusting again. I’m glad the engraved decoration is still mainly there :D was panicking before that it’d disappear with the rust! But yes… Now I just need to figure out how/where to display it in my room! It’ll probably be a case of 2 picture hooks with bits of ribbon suspending it from the picture rail above my dressing table.
