start a stitch n bitch

I have no friends, how am I supposed to do this. I have tried a couple of times but no one ever shows up. I am going to give up on this one. I don’t really like other people anyway.

Well, I tried this once before, about a year ago but it never came to be. Fast forward to now and I think it just might. I have been talking to some girls at work and they might be in. Also, two of the guys I work with think their girlies might be in as well. And, there is always my roommate and her friend. And just to add another I asked one more girl from my work that I don’t even know yet but she had a Hatebreed sweater so she must be cool as hell.

And, I am doing great on learning how to crochet so far so this is all looking kinda good. I think I am going to try to set our first meeting up for the first weekend in November.

More members, but none close enough to have a session. The list does stay fairly active though. Well, if “fairly active” means three or four messages per week. :)

Wowzers I have been doing a lot of crafting lately. I have been working on the dish towels for my boss and I am really making some progress now. I have also gotten Annie (my roommate) into the crafty way lately. She just got her first cross stitch and now we are makin junk! Yay! Now I just have to get a few more people and a regular time and it will all be nice on ice. :)

My best friend and I got together tonght to work on our outfits for the Tiger Army show. She made ma a skirt so cute all of the Papas are going to want me and I broke her sewing machine AND tore a seam out of her dress that I wasn’t supposed to. I also learned to use grommets (spelling?). All in all it was a lot of fun and I think we decided to get to gether every tuesday night to work on arts and crafts. This could be the begining of something wonderful :)

I really just want to get my friends and I together and have some crafting time where we can all gossip, giggle and gripe. I think it will inspire our artistic sides and female bonding. Those are important things. My best friend is a fashion design major so she is definatly in. My roommate Annie is a very artistic person and I think she is in as well. Now we just need to figure out when we can all get together. :)

This goal is tougher than I thought it would be. I figured I’d post about it on every knitting related board and start a yahoo group. That would just bring out the knitters. But so far it hasn’t. The main reason I wanted to start one was because there isn’t one around here. How can that be? How can there be a kajillion knitting groups in Pittsburgh, 60 miles away, and not ONE here? There ARE knitters in WV—Morgantown and Charleston both have regular stitch n bitches.
