Write 100 things about me

21. I (not so) secretly think I’m not very interesting.
22. I read a lot.
23. I’m a good speller.
24. I have a hard time letting people in.
25. I want to let a particular someone in. He could be very, very bad for me—or very, very good.
26. But I’m the kind of person who wants to find out.
27. I’m a “clear delineator”—I need to know where I stand with people.
28. This frustrates me a lot. See #25.
29. I would like to become more adventurous. Sometimes I am.
30. I moved 600 miles away from where I grew up, just ‘cause I wanted to live there.
31. I wonder if people think about me as much as I think about them.
32. I’d be embarrassed if certain people knew that about me.
33. I can easily obsess about things.
34. I make friends with guys more easily.
35. But I find that guys won’t help me figure out things the way women will.
36. I’m pretty sure guys are dumb. I love them anyway.
37. I like to drive fast.
38. I can drive a stick-shift, and have owned a three-speed, a four-speed and a five-speed.
39. I love AP style.
40. I am a procrastinator—I should be sending out resumes right now.
41. I can be high-strung.
42. Or very, very zen.
43. I wish I knew more about hitting the middle ground.
44. I love beaches.
45. I think beaches don’t count unless there’s an ocean involved.
46. Last month, I skinny-dipped for the first time as an adult.
47. I think that week was a time of very memorable, crystal-clear moments.
48. I love to listen to people tell stories.
49. I think God is calling me to move on, but I’m not certain in what way.
50. I wish there was a Mennonite church I liked near me.
51. But then again, I don’t think it’s necessary to go to church to be a Christian.
52. I want to know everything.
53. Ok, not gossip, though that can be entertaining.
54. I know basic HTML.
55. I know lots of people in bands.
56. I kind of wish I was in a band.
57. But I don’t know how to play an instrument or read music.
58. I love the smell of cut grass drying in the sun.
59. And the smell of rain hitting hot pavement.
60. I prefer to be barefoot if I can be.
61. I feel like my feet can’t breathe when I put on running shoes.
62. My head feels the same way when I wear a hat.
63. I am packing up to move next weekend.
64. People have surprised me by volunteering to help me move.
65. I find this very sweet and unexpected and it warms my blackened German heart.
66. I had to laugh when Russ said, “That pain in your chest? That’s your heart growing three sizes, Ms. Grinch!”, but I kind of wanted to smack him a little.
67. I think people don’t trust their instincts often enough.
68. I’m also afraid my instincts, my gut reaction, is wrong about one thing in particular.
69. I am made of contradictions.
70. Life is too short to worry and analyze so much.
71. I think life might be too short to make these lists on 43 Things.
72. I feel like life is too short to NOT go throw my packed boxes in my car and run, run to where I really want to be.
73. I am often more serious than the people around me.
74. I frequently feel “outside” the group.
75. This isn’t necessarily bad, though it can be a bit lonely at times.
76. I hate hate hate my job.
77. I have someone who is holding me to having three resumes sent out by Monday evening.
78. I want to travel more.
79. I can’t wait for hoodie weather.
80. I hate hevay coat weather.
81. I don’t like extremes, but sometimes find myself in them.
82. I am not always this serious and contemplative.
83. Sometimes I act childlike (NOT childish).
84. Ok, I’m sure I’m childish sometimes.
85. Whenever I try on a dress before buying it, I spin in the dressing room to test how well it twirls.
86. My favorite dress cost me $3.
87. I almost had to wrestle my best friend for it.
88. That’s probably the only time I’ve ever been glad she’s skinnier than me.
89. I want to start the South Beach diet again, but don’t want to give up beer and wine.
90. Guess I’m going to have to exercise more and watch what I eat.
91. I am a mama’s girl.
92. I am impatient. I get that from my dad.
93. I am enchanted by people who can make things and who can make things happen.
94. I know a guy who was a cook at a ranch and a guy who went to Maine to learn to build ships.
95. I like to cook, and want to learn to can fruits and veggies.
96. My grandma taught me to make applesauce when I was a kid, but I don’t remember how.
97. I make fantastic biscuits, but couldn’t make a great steak if you paid me.
98. I would live on sweet tea, coke and fried things if I could.
99. I babysit for two boys. They aren’t helping me figure out if I want kids.
100. I am always excited for the next page.

11. I like to make lists.
12. I have many more than these 43 things.
13. I knit. Sorta.
14. I also crochet.
15. I’m fascinated by photography and image manipulation.
16. I don’t like ampersands.
17. I’m a good speller.
18. I don’t want an office job.
19. I’m pretty decisive, usually.
20. But then I change my mind, just as strongly in favor of the opposite option. :D

1. I have blue eyes. People tell me they’re pretty. I agree.
2. I like to make things.
3. I don’t really like to show the things I make (unless they’re textiles).
4. I want to be an artist (“when I grow up”)
5. I’m afraid of being an artist and all that entails.
6. I think it’s sometimes good to make yourself do things you’re afraid of.
7. I’m not sure I want to grow up.
8. I like to write.
9. I hope to be published someday; I’d like to write a novel, a children’s book and some sort of documentary-style, groundbreaking something.
10. I want to be irresistible.

I like to make people happy- I like to point out positive things about and around people- I like to remind them to look on the bright side of things
