go to a bar alone

I’m feeling the itch.
Maybe It’s going to be dancing this next time.

So I did in fact go out to a gay bar solo! It was pretty fun. I was looking forward to it all week.(It was several weeks ago now).

Everything was nervous and scary. Would anyone talk to me? Could I handle being rejected if I tried to talk to some guy? What would I do if someone asked me to dance. That scared me alot. I can dance, but I have no rythm. My body loves to move, but with no beat, and no purpose it’s just not sexy!

Anyhoo. The Cock which was the cruisy bar I was hoping to go to was closed, or rather not open yet. So I walked over to the Boiler Room. Turned out to be the same bar my friends and I went to several weeks earlier. I chatted briefly with a boy by the jukebox, then hit up a conversation with an older guy in a red shirt who was apparently waiting for a blind date of sorts. He wanted me to go. But I was in no mood for being turned down, and convinced him(was it hard?) that he should be commanding the audience of a younger man when his betrothed bothered to show up. He bought it, and we chatted it up for a bit.
Spent a while after that back at the bar flirting with this strange black man. Probably little older it at all, than me. But he carried himself as hardened by the years and life. He was sort of fun. It was fun to flirt. Eventually I drank to much, ug, and had to cut the night out a little early. That was a pity because I was really enjoying the night out alone and was sort of curious where else the night was going to take me.

The only slightly sad part was, that all the guys that I thought were cute, were either in a group of friends(and I am rather shy!), or I was too shy to talk to them.
Also I was not in a mood to go home with anyone, and I do get carried away. That held me back a little bit also for some reason.

Anyhoo. It was pretty fun, and not terrible at all! I am thinking that I might go out again solo, but we are working pretty hard on this Wyclef Fast Car music video, and I will likely not get a weekend or evening free for a few weeks. Ug.
