How to give away 50 things I don't need

How I did it: I went through my cabinets and determined that pretty much anything I hadn't used in a year needed to be donated to someone who would use it. I let friends and family go through it first and then I gave the rest of it away to charity and freecycle. Lessons & tips: Make doubly sure that it's stuff you KNOW you aren't going to use. And be hard on yourself, are you keeping it because you think maybe one day you will use it or are you keeping it because you just want stuff? Resources: www.flylady.net

How I did it: I have cleaned my home at least 4 times already, through-out my life so far, and given at least 3 house-fulls of items away. I make sure that what I give away is in good to excellent condition and toss the rest in the dump. I was making regular donations to Christ's Home Orphanage. I know I've donated more than 50 items. The Lupus Foundation picked up a box of stuff this morning. Mostly clothes and some old toys.

I have collected up a box full of ‘gift with purchase’ types of make up items that have never been used because they are the wrong shade etc. I am giving them away.
