I’ve gone three times so far, and I already have more respect for all parts of my body. My arms, my thighs, my calves, and my mind for not letting me give up when I feel like death warmed over.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

It's definitely addicting 5 months ago

It’s not for a beginner with no previous cardio training. I did my first class after having ran 30 minutes without stopping and I remember saying “There’s no way I could have done that if I hadn’t already been running.” I’m sure if you go low-intensity, you should be fine, though. I love it. It tones you up and it makes me completely drenched in sweat which gives me the psychological feeling that I’m losing weight and toning up-it’s just nice to see the shiny proof.

LOVE Spinning 23 months ago

As part of OBSOML (operation best shape of my life), I am trying or want to try as many activities as possible to become more active. I took a spinning class starting in October and I LOVE it!

I can’t wait for January’s class to start up. I never thought I’d fall in love with it but I have. Great cardio, fun group exercise and it makes you feel GREAT!

Not like riding a bike... 2 years ago

It’s not the same as riding an actual bike on the trails, which I really love, but it’s definitely less wear on the body. For me, it’s more of a cardio workout, and there’s little chance of breaking any bones, which I tend to witness among my companions when I trail ride.

I’m signed up to spin twice a week, but I missed today’s class. Sadly, that meant that I ran a couple of miles on the street. In the rain.

(The rain was easily the best part.)

Three times last week 2 years ago

I don’t love cycling like I do step class but the time they offer this at my gym works for me. I have to say that after a few classes I like it more and I do think this is good for my legs. I would encourage others to try it. Spin in good health! :)

It was awesome! 2 years ago

Ok, so firstly it’s not nearly as hard as everyone says. Secondly, while parts of it are tough, it’s essentially interval training so it’s tough for a few seconds and then it eases up.

I say give it a shot, if your teacher is worth his or her weight in salt they’ll be willing to help and very supportive!
