Mitzi mantra: don't forget to have a good time
having a little one in school helps this out alot. plus i work early mornings now, so i’m up and going really early.
i just need to put the last few specifics in place, and i will be done with this goal. almost there!

I have been wanting to do this but I always oversleep! But if I make a routine on here I may be inspired to follow it and not oversleep=]
6:00 AM: Alarm clock goes off. Wake up and get changed into running shoes/shorts. (I gave myself extra time because I take forever to wake up if I don’t feel like doing something.)
6:30 AM: Go for 30 minute a jog/run around the neighborhood(I can’t run too long because it gets hot very early where I live)
7:00 AM: 100 crunches/ 20 push ups/rest
7:30 AM: Shower
8:00 AM: Breakfast-light so it won’t cancel out my run- Oatmeal, shredded wheat biscuits, other healthy cereal, yogourt or toast.
8:30 AM: Sleep until regular time… watch some tv… Relax, hang out with friends.. Get on with my day!=]

Some parts of the routine are going by the wayside too regularly (especially the vacuuming), but I ‘ve managed to get up before seven every day of the last week (including the weekend), take a shower every morning, and eat breakfast every morning too, even if it was just an orange once. So I ‘d say I ‘m still more or less on track with this.

Today is the fourth day in a row that I stuck to a fixed morning routine. Currently, it looks like this:
7:00 AM – Alarm goes off
7:10 AM – Get up / Make bed
7:15 AM – Get in the shower
7:30 AM – Have breakfast / Read the paper or a book
8:00 AM – Brush teeth while listening to the radio news
8:10 AM – Vacuum the room
8:15 AM – Review calander / to-do list for the day
8:20 AM – Leave the house
My next goal will be to get up half an hour earlier each day and get some kind of workout habit in there. I ‘m currently considering Pilates, because I ‘m not much of a runner. All other suggestions for things I can do early in the morning (e.a. which don ‘t require some kind of external facility that typically isn ‘t open at this hour yet) are welcome.

Finally started getting back into my “morning routine” today. I didn’t get up early as I’d like, but I went to the gym, made my bed, did a little cleaning, and actually cooked breakfast for once. Hopefully I’ll get back on track. Gotta make sure I go to bed early tonight so I can try and wake up at 5 tomorrow!

- open the window and look at the sun/skies
- put the water to boil and start packing my lunch box; while there, water my sprouts, make protein shake etc. (prepare ingredients night before, according to weekly menu, posted on visible place; organise shaking center with all stuff on the same place, pour milk in shaker night before and put it in fridge)
- sip hot water with ginger and relax a moment
- brush my teeth etc. (hang bath robe in the bathroom as soon as it is washed and dried)
- finish packing my lunch box (if not done night before)
- finish packing my backpack (put all things i want to bring with myself close to it day before)
- (...placeholder for variety of things i could do for myself in the morning…)
- get dressed (put all accesories, clean handkerchiefs, boots etc. in the entrance hall cupboard)
- get out, and there is stil enough time for a morning walk!
the main pont of morning routine is to organize things in advance to have them where i need them, when i need them. and than just g g l l l i i i i i i d d e e through the morning!

Still going!
I slack off here and there, but mostly I’m sticking to it. I made a goal of making my bed every day for 21 days and earning a new comforter for my efforts.

I dream of having a healthy, consistent, unrushed morning routine. However, I must first establish my habits of getting up before 8am and eating breakfast daily. So for now, I’m putting this goal on hold.

so not really accomplishing this. Will work harder on this goal once I return home, but on the road I feel like any effort would be futile…

I would wake up before 8AM. Spend a few minutes visualizing my day and my goals. Make my bed. Go downstairs and take my meds with a healthy breakfast (most often: huge bowl of cereal with low-fat milk and yoghurt and some fresh fruit) while either checking personal emails or reading the news. Back upstairs to shower, brush teeth and apply sun block. YAY!
So far, I haven’t even managed to do this once. And, after I do, I might find that I want to change around the individual activities. We’ll deal with that when we come to it…
