I’m a HUGE Tori fan. Any advice on how I can meet her? I hope she tours in the states soon!
I missed the meet & greet in Warsaw so I went all the way to the UK to find her. Couldn’t get in for the London concerts but waited for her outside the Apollo on the second night. Unfortunately, she didn’t come out. Then went to Manchester for the concert on July 5th. Spent 5 hours in the rain standing just outside the back door. And then, finally got a chance to talk to her :)
She’s amazing. When she’s talking to you it seems as if you were the whole world for her.
And she spent more than an hour in the rain and cold, waiting to talk to EVERY SINGLE FAN that wanted to talk or simply get a hug!
I can’t help but worship her!
I’ve somehow managed to meet her lots of times, the weirdest places were in Bloomingdales, and at a concert that wasn’t hers. I sure hope you all get your chance. Tip for nonchalant meetings: move to Palm Beach. :)
I met her three years ago at a meet and greet in pittsburgh. I almost peed my pants. She is absolutely fabulous and it was totally worth doing!!!!

This is the title of Tori Amos’ book, and let me tell you, if you are a fan of hers, you must read this book. Even if you met her, even if you have all her cd’s, you don’t know how awsome a person she is until you read it. I got my philosophy on life out of this book. I’m telling you, she’s fascinating and anyone who doesn’t know that or thinks they know that should read the book. Go out and buy it! Go! Now! What are you still sitting down for! Go out and buy it!
okay, so it wasn’t so much meeting her as it was her waving & blowing kisses in my general direction, but i figure it’s the closest i’m ever going to get. lol

Many, many people probably agree with me on this. But the truth is I don’t think a lot of those people have really looked at who she is as a person. They only hear her music. I am currently reading her book “Piece by Piece”, which is co-written by journalist Ann Powers. In it Powers delves deeper into who Tori is as a person then any song or two minute meet and greet could do. I am learning things about her spirituality, her grace, and how she believes that she does not write the songs, she takes on their personality and lets them live through her. This is why I want to meet her, to thank her for showing me that spirituallity can be so much more then just going to church or joining a coven. She is one of the reasons why I became a Pagan, and for that I am very greatful.
met her last year in Brussels. i went to another meet&greet in 2003 but didn’t have the opportunity to approach her (was really far away). here she signed my cd, exchanged a word with me but unfortunatly i didn’t have the time to say anything really personal… the venue is AWEFUL btw – extremely bad organisation, no proper place to wait or barricades. even if you arrive early you’re not sure to be in the front caus they make you move all the time. next year i’ll definitely attend other meet&greets and tell her how much her music changed my life!
