start writing a book

I have alot of ideas for books but whenever I go to write it, I get bored and i get so FUSTRATED. I want to do this so badly but I can never seem to actually get it on paper. Im 13 years old.

i have so many pages and pages and books of writing materials that ive been writing and creating since i was in grade 5. almost 15 years of accumulated material and i want to start doing it but find it hard to find enough time to do so or enough strength. im way too lazy to start anything these days. all i want to do when i get home from work is sleep and when im not sleeping im at work or in front of the tv. how depressing is that?! VERY!!! sop i need to find it in myself to put down the remote and get my /$%* together and start it already…i dont know how long its been since ive wanted to do it, JUST DO IT ALREADY! try pushing myself, hopefully that will work ;)

I have the greatest idea for a book. It’s kinda like a compilation of short stories, as told through actual people. Ah, I can see it in my head…and I know that it would be a great finished product. If only I could get it together….

I’m basically using the Mac application, Comic Life, to construct the images and text, and then Blurb to build the book. It’s been a very rewarding project so far.

Now I just gotta get the other 100 people to respond.

I am about to start writing a non-fictional book. It will be based upon the aspects that I have learned from the non-violent political leader, Mahatma Gandhi, and how I have applied it to our mainstream society. I am not sure of my final title of my book but I came up with a title which I think will be well-suited for this book. The title is “A Journey with Mahatma Gandhi”

I can’t believe the number of people I have spoken to who said they want to write a book!!

start writing again, and create that novel I always wanted to write.

So I’m “putting it on hold”. I plan to come back to this as soon as I can.

So, instead of doing something with words, I’m going to make a book that captures my friends. It’s going to be made with Blurb, in the 7”x7” format, with a page for each of friends (old, good, new, acquaintances and kindred spirits), and the following information:

• A recent photo
• Name
• How we met (when, through whom)
• Something we’ve done together

I made a spreadsheet of friends… basically everyone I know or have talked to in the last couple years that I can remember… and will be writing to each of them once I get my plan figured out.

My friend Jimmy is going to help design a Photoshop filter that all of the pictures will go through in order to give them the feeling of being a set. And we’ll work together to figure out how to lay out the text and other information. Then we’ll do some tests, and make this thing!

I might create a couple additional sections for the book too once I have the basics done… but I’ll wait before thinking more about that.

I like this idea because it’ll be a chance to think a lot about a topic I’m really interested in… friends. With all the social networking and social life of the last few years, it’ll be fun to make something more tangible that riffs on the same ideas. And, because it’ll be about other people as much as myself, it will hopefully bring me closer to people as well.
