What I have done to get more healthy 6 months ago

I’ve began swimming laps for an hour three times a week. Also, buying better foods to keep down on consuming bad foods and to cut back on bad food habits. (Unless its a holiday! ;))

Swimming 3 years ago

I started swimming laps. I went three times this week and two times swam 10 laps then yesterday swam 6 b/c the rec was closing. I’m proud b/c I feel like I am actually forming a habit. Which is the hardest part.

More improvement 3 years ago

I have lost a additional 10 pounds.

So I started again... 3 years ago

After failing to get back my past figure in the spring, I started again after Christmas. To get my butt in gear I quit the smoking and drinking pop even diet. After a few weeks of lung revolt and falling asleep at my desk I was ready to show my face at the health club. So now it’s 2 months later and I have dropped 25 pounds and 2 chins. I work out almost every day, eat only my portion of food and get to bed well before midnight. More come later.

Studying French, the issue of health comes up a lot. Apparently, health, next to God and Love, is very important to the French society. Americans, however, tend not to see it that way. I’m not obese by any means, but I probably weigh a lot more than you think. I’d be really happy to lose about 20-25 lbs.

Plus, overall vitatilty just makes you happier and gives you more energy.

Crisis 4 years ago

So far I have already been to the Emergency Room 2 times this year and had all 4 wisdom teeth out within a matter of a month (February, the shortest month of the year). I am calcium defficient (no big surprise to me) and have high cholestorol (sp?). In the TMI dept, I also have 2 ingrown toe nails, a problem with my bowel movements, depression, anxiety and panic attacks. Lets not go there.

I plan to start eating more healthy and drinking more water (2 liters a day) and not neglecting to go to the doctor right away if I suspect something is wrong. That is my commitment to myself. I guess you could call it a delayed New Years Resolution of sorts.
