Get my AA degree

The degree I’m now seeking is actually an AAOT degree in Exercise Science. AAOT stands for Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer. I should be finished with it by the end of next spring, but I may possibly have to take A&P III next summer if not. The plan is to then transfer to OSU and get a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition.

One more year, plus one summer class ‘til I get my bachelor’s!

I’m one class away!!!

i now have my associate of arts degree. my quarter in italy was my last quarter of community college. three more years of college and i’ll have my bachelor’s!

I JUST FINISHED MY LAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE CLASS! as of yesterday, i will never again sit in class at community college. im one quarter away from getting my AA. this is getting exciting! an aa might not be impressive or anything, but it feels like a huge academic achievement to me.

i have a rough draft of an essay due tomorrow. im writing about logging in washington state, and its supposed to end up eight to ten pages long. right now im at two and a half, im hoping to make it to four. im burnt out of essays.

so im pretty far through my last quarter at community college! ive been missing some classes due to insomnia, but im hangin in there. im a bit stressed out because i have two major homework assignments and one minor one that i haven’t done. the minor one and one of the major ones are due tuesday (monday is president’s day!), so i hope i get those done to celebrate. the other one is a huge research paper that’s due next friday. i havent even started on it. i expect that all of my weekdays next week are going to be getting ready to turn in this paper.

wow i can’t believe it’s halfway through the quarter already! i have 4 major classes, but this quarter has seemed pretty easy to me so far. i’m on course to get a 3.25 (c+, c+, a, a). i have a term paper to write that i havent started on though. meep, maybe i should do that

well today i begun my second week of my 5th quarter. i’m taking an overload as you may know: intro to astronomy, u.s. history ww1 – 2000, argumentative writing, and cultural anthropology. i’m making it okay so far, i’ve turned in two history assignments already and today i watched one of our required videos for anthropology. tonight, after i’m done sending in my hong kong university of science and technology app, i’m going to go take the graduation test. man, i sound like one of those kids who places too much into academics. i’m just completely trapped in the idea that i have to get into a hong kong university, and if i don’t, somehow my existence will fade out or something. peace!

so today’s the first day of my quarter. my final quarter at community college! go me! i have an overload: intro to astronomy, 20th century us history, argumentative writing, and cultural anthropology.

so i decide, “hey, now would be a good time to go talk to an academic adviser and make sure i’m on track for an associate of arts degree.” so i go, and she tells me that all of my classes in italy are going to count only as electives, meaning i’d have to stay another two quarters. i flipped out, and went and got the study abroad director, and then found out that my previous efforts won me a written exception from the dean. so hell yeah, i’m graduating on time, june 2nd, after italy!

back to school in an hour…
