That was… indescribable.
The first two seconds= pure terror
The remainder= amazing!
How I did it: I wanted to do something adventurous this year so I made a reservation back in January to zipline at the Hocking Canopy Tours. Their guides did pretty much everything else by getting all the gear set up for you and clipping you to each zipline or rope bridge and even pushing you off as I was a little nervous on the first large zipline. You get to do one practice zip before they take you up to the trees and the first couple aren't so bad either. Braking takes some practice, but if you don't manage that right the tree will stop you! I'm mechanically disinclined and I still managed to pick it up pretty quick. It took a few zips for me to get calm enough to start looking around and enjoying it so I would really like to go back now that I feel more comfortable. The views are beautiful and it is really fun.
Lessons & tips: They latched my camera to me so don't be afraid to bring a camera.

I LOVED riding the zipline, I rode the entire thing upside down! (Even though I almost threw up… What can I say, I just had lunch!)
A moment after this picture was taken, I let go of the rope and sailed along the zipline hands free! (Look Ma, no hands!) And YES, I am DEATHLY afraid of heights but I still did it!
does it matter that I’m deathly afraid of heights?! I know they said it does! but I saw this most wonderful girl-bonding experience on tv and they go ziplining. It seemed amazing!! I’m not as adventuresome as I’d like to be!! Maybe I can do this for my 30th b-day?! Do they have ziplines in paris?! hehehe!! i know they have ‘em in kauai!! Another place on my list of places to go!!
