Murakami became one of my favorite authors when I read several stories from The Elephant Vanishes—namely, On seeing the 100% perfect girl one beautiful April morning and Kangaroo Communique. His writing has that surreal yet profound vibe I really dig.
So far I’ve read:- The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle
- Sputnik Sweetheart
- Kafka on the Shore
- The Elephant Vanishes (collection of short stories)
Keeshy is taking 1 breathe @ a time.
So far I’ve read:
1) Kafka on the Shore
2) Norwegian Wood
blessings!
I read Norwegian Wood a bit back and then Hard Boiled Wonderland, but things came up about halfway through reading that book so I only finished it last week, then I read Wind Up Bird in two days and then Sputnik Sweetheart the next, I borrowed Dance Dance Dance and South of the Border from the library and I think I’ll get to reading those once I finish this other book (which will be by tomorrow)
It is taking me forever to read this! I have about 20 minutes to and from work to read on public transportation. But I keep getting distracted! I should have finished this ages ago! Well I am halfway through now and I think I can pretty much predict how things will unfold. Murakami makes me laugh outloud sometimes!
Actually I’ve only got After the Quake and Norwegian Wood left to read. Amazing. I love Murakami.
I’m reading this at the moment. I’m about half way through. It’s okay.(Am I missing something?) I honestly enjoyed ‘Kafka on Shore’ more
