drink warm milk before bed and reading really helps me get to sleep.
watching tv or going on the computer sadly does not get your body in sleeping mode. so if that’s what you are doing, try something else!
How to get enough sleep every night
How I did it: For some reason, If I get between 7-5 hours of sleep, the next day I am a walking disaster. But If I get <4 hours (due to lets say late night cramming for exams), then somehow I am able to function... at least till I can return home and crash.
So I make it a point to really give myself 8 hours. It is the best thing you could do for yourself, especially when you are stressed out. The temptation after a long day is that you want to take "me time", so you stay up surfing the internet/watching TV, etc. But I try not to cave anymore. And work stays at work, period.
Lessons & tips: Its sort of like exercising I suppose. It is all about willpower, and it WILL pay off.

especially since I’m a senion in high school going off to college soon where there’s no such thing as sleep. I know, I know. I guess it’s more of a “not be tired” commitment than anything else. Oh well. I think I’m going to bed soon, though, so that’s good! Yeah!!!
