I’m finished! xD

Okay, I lied… I AM really close to finishing, but since I wrote my last entry, I’ve barely sat down and worked on my blanket. It sits in the corner of my room, waiting to finished after all this time… but other things always seem more important than finishing it. However, now that I’ve set this goal as my challenge, I will finish it before May 31st, when the school year is over. Wish me luck!

Well, after a few years (I can’t believe that I’ve actually been working on this thing for YEARS), I’m almost done! I can actually see the finish line! My goal for this blanket was to have it at least as tall as I am, because I think the best blankets have to be big. And it’s pretty close to my height – I use two different colors, and switch every 21 lines, so I think I might not even have to switch back to the other color before I think it’s done. Yay!
I can’t believe so many others have this as a goal too! I am so close I just need to finish the last part… SOON! It will be awesome to have it all done.
So, I’ve taken my blanket to work every day last week. I worked on it three times. I added about four rows. A by-product is that I taught one of the kids at work to crochet too. Only the chain stitch, but she is hooked! She must’ve crocheted a five foot long chain the last day. It distracts me a bit from the goal, but is so much fun!
At work I look after a kid while he sleeps. This seems to be a perfect time to get some rows in. I think I’ll bring it tomorrow!
I started a gorgeous baby blanket – not done.
Started a boy blanket (two rows) – not done.
I started a blanket for my basement (but then grandma died and I inherited hers and don’t have the ambition to make the other) – also not done.
I have to finish the one baby blanket that is over half done and the rec room blanket which is about 1/4 done. Even if I give it away, at least I finished it!
