Go to Comic Con

My friends and I are trying to plan for 2010 Comic Con! We have never been so does anyone have any advice???

The thing is I don’t know what to expect and chances are I’ll be going by myself because none of my friends seem to be as excited about it as I am lol

This was my second year attending. If you only listen to one tip, book your hotel as early as you can through the hotel directly not through Comic-con! Comic-con starts taking reservations in February and they have strict cancellation policies. Book through Hilton, Marriott, etc. around November or December the year before and you’ll get close to the same rate with better cancellation policies. Don’t say you’re there for the convention though :) Other than that, have fun and don’t try and do it all in the 3 or 4 days you’re there, it is awesome and tiring and amazing all at the same time! There is tons of free stuff, don’t go crazy buying things you can get at Target or at home, and enter as many contests as you can, they give away iPods, PS3, etc for free.

My pic is with two “Ugly Dolls” and I danced with Stormtroopers on a stage and my mom accidentally got in line to meet all the Star Trek actors LOL. It was great and we’re going next year (and the year after, and the year after…)

this summer

loved it so much that i booked my registration for next year.

so now I have to run around doing all the things that need to be done before then. i’m taking a week and a half off and it couldn’t come at a better time. between the exam i just took and everything else, i am seriously close to burning out.

katy, my friend chris, and i are registered and bought tickets. financially we have no business doing this whatsoever, but kevin smith and neil gaiman at the same event? can’t miss it. i am so excited for this I can’t even describe it.

I would absolutely love to do this, but I don’t know any comic book geeks like me who would go with me. I should probably make a goal like “make a friend who likes comics” and then do this goal!
