I also wish to learn Ainu, but there are very few resources, and when I am older If I do learn it I would deffinetly teach my kids it, I want my kids to be able to speak lots of languages. It may be hard for them at first but it will really help them later in life.

Looking through the Ethnologue, it really hit me how so many languages have been lost, and will continue to be lost if something isn’t done. I want to try and learn a dying/lost/ancient language so that I can teach others (perhaps even my children one day). I’ve always said that when I do get married and have kids I’ll bring more languages into the home so that my children will learn to love them as much as I do. :) Perhaps I’ll teach them Ainu, or a Kenyan language from the plains….
