remember each success at work

from the senior guys who liked a piece of work i did, and they told me so, and cc:d it to my bureau chief, and the top guys for the department.

felt good.

i think it’s good when i get a flows snip done. good stuff. and 2 weeks ago boss said that one of my stories was good. really good. those were his words.

plus, i did my third stock focus with much less hassle than my first two (feature lengths can kill), and was surprised. which is also good.

next week i feel a bit afraid, i’m going outstation for an event, possibly for an interview as well, which i’ve not done before. erk.

did stories which chief said good, that i’m getting better at this – did flows snips which impressed him (yay – and on friday he said it had impressed the money chief overseas),

all in all good, though emotionally disastrous

ended the day pretty late but did all that.

without much prep, was able to get down what my colleague needed me to when he filed a story over the phone this afternoon.

i’m getting better, i know i am. but if i don’t tell myself this, i’ll forget :)

it’s a recurring thing, and can’t be helped in this job – but i did make one of those calls, and so i am pleased.

i’m trying to make it a practice to feel success each time i complete 75% of each task i put on my notepad. (jan 11: hmm. wonder whether 75% is too high!)
