sue820Sent out a batch of 5 today.

These went out to Belarus, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, and the Ukraine. I’ve, also, received a card from Bavaria. 1 week ago

bluepeashooterEcstatic

I have another postcard that is a ‘favorite’. That so makes me want to do a shimmy! :)

I’ve opened myself up to direct swaps and have gotten quite a few requests as a result of the favorites. Now beginning to doubt the decision though, direct swaps do not “earn” miles or postcard counts and really do add up to the costs of mailing. Hmmmmm …. 2 weeks ago

sue820Received two more postcards.

One from Sweden and one from almost Siberia, Russia. My geography is really improving. 3 weeks ago

sue820Sent 4 postcards today.

They went out to 1.Belarus, 2.Calgary, Canada, 3. The Netherlands, 4. Russia. I don’t like the ones to Russia and China because they take the longest and seem to be the ones easily mislaid. I’ve received a postcard from the US and one from Portugal. 4 weeks ago

bluepeashooterThe first 2 arrive!

Finally!!!

I am SO happy! 1 is from Holland and the other is from a 4 y.o. kid from Utah :) S/he even tried to write his/her name on it himself!

Can’t wait for the others to come :) 1 month ago

sue820Sent six postcards today.

All but one of my previous postcards has been received, and I received a card from Germany and Illinois. This batch goes out to Michigan,Russia, the Ukraine,Germany,Taiwan, and France. I hadn’t realized the postal rate had gone up until I received postcards from TG and ToddSchoonover with increased postage. 1 month ago

bluepeashooterThe 2nd postcard I sent ...

... and the 4th one to be received brought with it quite a bit of flare, I’m immensely pleased to share :)

The recipient sent me a warm & complimentary reply, which I truly enjoyed reading. Another postcrosser made it one of her favorites, and still another postcrosser from Poland liked it enough to send me a message for a direct swap!

I am so tickled pink, lavender & aqua blue right now. :D 1 month ago

bluepeashooterWhen will I mark this goal as "done"?

I will mark this goal as done when I have sent and received 10 postcards respectively. Then I’ll know the process is sufficiently underway.

This is so exciting!2 months ago

bluepeashooterI sent my first 5 last week

The first 2 were sorely lacking in pleasantries as I didn’t know what to write on them :( I was just so excited and I wanted to just start the process like, NOW , now!

A day later, I have calmed down considerably, I request for 3 more addresses and sent those with a few respectable lines :)

I’m very excited to start receiving postcards! =) 2 months ago

SimplicityInTheLBC20th entry

Two more postcards recently arrived. The first is from Daisy in China:

The second is a gorgeous view of the city of Sevastopol, sent by Sergei:

I have done 20 entries on my Postcrossing participation. I’ll keep sending cards when the mood strikes me, and I’ll continue to keep my cards all scanned in my photobucket album, but I’m going to mark this goal as DONE. 6 months ago

SimplicityInTheLBCSeveral lovely cards from the last few days

The first is a direct swap from a young man in Brazil:

A pretty art card from Germany:

Apparently Christian Bale is popular in Russia too:

And a historical landmark from 12-year-old Bailey:

Such a wide variety of cards! I bought some new Long Beach cards at the hardware store today, and most of my sent cards have finally arrived, so I can send a new batch this weekend. AFTER I am done throwing my sister a bridal shower, anyway. 7 months ago

sue820I'm frustrated with this.

The last 4 postcards I’ve sent are still traveling after 45 days. I think it’s the post office where I dropped them. They were all in one batch and dropped off at one mailbox. That post office is awful, and they probably did something with them or just never picked up from that box. 7 months ago

SimplicityInTheLBCcards in, cards out

Cards going out this week to Poland (hi, Spatz!), the Netherlands, Taiwan and Washington DC. The Man and I visited the USS Iowa battleship this weekend, and I picked up a few cards there that will be great for any history/naval buffs that I find.

I also received several cards this week!

Some street art from Loeni in Germany:

Super cool vintage-style illustration from Heikki in Finland:

A hand-drawn postcard from an Australian preschool group, which TOTALLY made me smile at the end of a crappy day:

And a music-related postcard (with Hello Kitty stamps!) from Akira in Japan:

SimplicityInTheLBCWarburg, Germany

Apparently these folks had a PostCrossing meetup, and everyone signed the card. That sounds like a fun afternoon :)

I also got a lovely card from Miss Kat which made my day! 8 months ago

sue820I'm postcard rich!

I decided not to upload pics of all the postcards I received, but I got one from Korea, Finland, Latvia, Alberta, Canada,Belarus, and Idaho. 8 months ago

sue820Bought a few holiday postcards and some interesting stamps.

Zazzle is having half off their holiday cards, including postcards, so I bought some Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year postcards to send. There’re 8 a piece, so I figure that’s one batch sent out per holiday. I bought the stamps from the post office, where you can order more interesting stamps than I can get from the local post office. I didn’t anticipate how it’s kind of boring sending the same card every time, even if I’m happy with them and even though they were inexpensive. 8 months ago

SimplicityInTheLBCMore cards on their way out

...to Latvia, Germany, Russia and Florida this time. Also, I just bought a massive roll of postcard stamps to go with the stack of postcards I bought last week.

I think I’ll be turning this into my weekend project now that I’m back in school. That will give me something fun to look forward to during the week :) 8 months ago
