return to Tahiti

I’ve been there twice for a total of 6 weeks. I will return someday.

In 1992 I had the wonderful opportuntity to experience life in a tropical paradise, that was Moorea, Tahiti. Having spent ten days there, its an experience I will never forget, however, though it is far more expensive, Bora Bora is supposed to be the absolute paradise on Earth. People may feel Hawaii is wonderful, but nothing, and I mean, nothing is like Tahiti. Its nearly as Captain Cook left it centuries ago. I have never seen so many shades of blue, as I had from the waters surrounding Moorea. With the photos of Bora Bora, etched in my mind, and the experience of Moorea, you can’t help not wanting to go. The last Tahitian Club Med is there, which for someone with a limited budget, is the best way to go. Sure its not as classy and elegant as some of the other resourts, but then with the beauty of Tahiti, a shack on the beach would be better than not being there at all.

I have two places I most want to visit. Japan is one. Tahiti is another. If I had a wish, it would be to spend a month in both, with Tahiti being the final stop before returning home. Someday, I hope it will happen.
