rovingjack is putting too much on his plate.
I saw some footage of this trek. I’m not much of a hiker and while I grew up loving to go out into the woods, I’m not much of a trail person either. But there are certain beuties in the world that I would like to see, and this would be one.
It’s supposed to be 54 kms (about 35 miles), over four days with somewhere around 6 hours hiking each day. so I should get myself into condition to walk 12 miles in a day to make this an easy trek.
By the time I can make that happen I should get a handle on my health issues enough to know how to handle it when on the trip.
Then I have to save up 3000$ nz. Do some research about other things to check out while in NZ and price out an additional week of travel costs.
So First things first. Start practicing to walk long stretches of trail.
