LifeRenewed is taking the first steps...
I was surprised to find this on the lists of 9 other people! I was sure it was only a “me” thing.
I have done this ever since I was a kid. I used to bite terribly deep holes in my lips, all the way down to the fat tissue. I stopped doing that in my early 20’s I guess, but have never managed to stop this nervous habit of chewing the first few layers. Damn it I just did it again as I’m writting!!!!
I gnaw from morning to night and begin again as soon as I wake up. I think I will google this to find some more information and see if there are any helpful suggestions on how to quit this. Damn it… I just did it again!
It’s definitely a habit that may be very, very hard to break…
Ok so… Ideas to help stop:
1. Relax – biting can be linked to a larger problem of stress or anxiety. Take time out everyday to just breathe deeply and relax.
2. Realizing I’m doing it.
3. Chew on something else, ie: gum
