be an organ donor

I always wanted to be an organ donor. I don’t smoke and I rarely drink so it makes me think that I can help somebody when I die. I heard that there are some website that you can just register but I’m not sure whether its applicable here in the Philippines. Anyway, If I have time I will search and join something to be an organ donor.

just sent in my registration today! it takes ten days to get confirmation in the mail and then the time it takes to send the form back.

How does one go about officially doing this in Florida?

I’ve informed my loved ones to instruct the medical professionals to pull out everything useful in the event of my untimely demise.

I’ve done the form and sent it off. I’m now an organ donor. Kind of. I still have to wait for the card, but I’m on the list.

It’s a slight anti-climax. They should have a fanfare or confetti to celebrate the moment.

The only thing that scares me is the whole…Do they try and keep you alive, or do the doctor just let you die to steal your organ

That’s my paranoia for you.

After all – what am I going to do with them after I die?

It could be my frugalness but I just think it would be a waste to give my body to a velvet coffin instead of a child who might need it to continue or the wonderful environment. After they’ve made a mess of me, I want to be cleaned and dropped in the desert or jungle perhaps.^_.

I’m an organ donor on my driver’s license which is so weird becuase you pretty much have to die in a hospital to be an organ donor. And you figure if you are in an hospital your family is there and they hopefully already know you want to be an organ donor…

Oh well. I would be honored after death if I could be used for some greater purpose!

I’m slightly apprehensive about this goal. My mother is against it entirely. She thinks that the act of registering as an organ donor is a death wish..

Well, I haven’t actually donated an organ. I can’t do that until I’m dead… or a family member eneds one, in which case IU’d cetainyl give it!

but I did sign up for the Transplant organ donor list in BC, and I consider that done. If I die, I’m an organ donor. SO, I consider this one complete.
