    for heartburn? 4 months ago

I talked to a coworker the other day and she said that she used to have chronic indigestion. You know, you take a drink of water and you get heartburn. She took pills and such but nothing worked long-term. She then went through two accupuncture sessions and has not had heartburn since. That got me curious. I might look into this. Not really for heartburn but maybe there are some other things it could cure… like laziness! ;)

Now Can Someone Give Me Some Bravery Juice? 6 months ago

My friends are awesome. I just have to say that. It’s so worth it to post your list online, and tell the world, because the world will help you achieve your goals. Two of my really close friends read my list on my myspace page, and gave me a gift certificate to get accupuncture done! I am really excited, but now comes the hard part.

I have to get over my fear of needles.

When I was young, I used to have this horrible dream every time I had to go to the doctor. I dreamed that the nurse would staple my clothes to me. Now, yeah, you would think that would make me afraid of staples. And I am ;) But I am also afraid of needles. I tried getting a tattoo to conquer my fear. All that did was get me addicted to tattoos. So now I am ready to take that next step, and get a bunch of needles stuck into me.

    Oh boy.

    Great! 1 year ago

I went to the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (www.pacificcollege.edu) for my treatment today . . . The Pacific College Clinic is a community-oriented teaching clinic established to provide Pacific College students with a professional setting in which to complete their internship requirements for the Masters programs in Acupuncture and Traditional Oriental Medicine. Pacific interns are in the last phase of a rigorous four-year program taught by experts in both traditional Oriental healing techniques and current Western medical practices. Each intern is closely supervised by a highly educated and skilled licensed acupuncturist. Several Pacific College faculty members also maintain private practices within the facility. My session cost only $10 because I was a first time patient . . . regularly $38.

My accupuncturist, David, was really great. It was a relaxing experience – no pain involved – and he explained everything. I would definitely do this again.

...just found out my cousin does accupuncture. YAY! Maybe this goal I can accomplish easier than I imagined! My biggest obstacle was going out and finding a practitioner I was comfortable with.
    Woo hoo!

    Tried it 2 years ago

after a car accident 8 years ago. The first visit was awesome and actually relieved the pain in my neck and back. But after that I didn’t feel any difference whatsoever. Too bad because that first visit felt miraculous. Don’t know why my experience with accupuncture played out this way, but I wish it would have been more successful.

Pins and Needles 2 years ago

I had it done on my foot. After years of trying different treatments for my sore foot, I was recommended to try this. I was so stressed at the time that I was completely tense, but afterwards it definitely helped – but only for a few days. Then it was back to normal (which is pain). It would be great if I could find a more permanent fix for the pain.
