Gosh I had no clue that Meet the Robinsons movie would actually be good. But it was. One quote that is sticking with me is by Walt Disney ‘“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

How are some ways I can start moving forward with my life?

I went to the opening of my friend’s gallery tonight. I ran into lots of friends from my art life that I haven’t seen in a long time. Felt more at home and excited than I have in a long time too. I think I’ve forgotten how wonderful it is just being in the company of like-minded people who know me well. Such a confidence boost. I have
been hiding myself away from everyone since I didn’t feel comfortable sharing my troubles. Well, now they all know – and it’s still okay. Just another step…

I’ve called most of my siblings about our separation and left a message for one. These hours spent on the phone have been totally draining and uplifting all at once. The announcement and the explanations and the details (and holding it together)- exhausting. The resulting conversations, feelings shared and connection -wow.
I will actually be with all six of my siblings this weekend in the Midwest so I am so glad to have the initial piece over with – I want the focus to be more where it should be on my baby brother’s 30th. It’s nice to have all the support and wisdom.
I know why we kept the whole thing quiet for so long but still – I wish now I had gone to my family earlier.

There’s a lot to be learned from Goob and Lewis!

Great movie – went to see it with my wife and 4 year old. I think I learned more than him. As an entrepreneur, sometimes things get very hard. I’ve been fighting to boost my business everyday and sometimes the going seems slow and I’d like to get up. The movie is another in a series of things I believe God has used to encourage me this week.
