double my income this year

I mean double it THIS year.

This is the best way for me to get there.

This is going to be tough because I’m already earning a decent salary.

But – I can do it.

Grrrrr.

So I got my November pay stubs and entered them. As I’m now well over, I hit double by mid-November. I measured it from the January – end of July. So I did it in 3.5 months, and it was a lot of work. But yay!

Now I will go to New York to celebrate. And I think I’ll buy some books and other presents.

I ran my reports this morning before work. Considering July 15 as the gate, I have another $2000 to go and I will have accomplished this goal.

The gates have opened. I just landed a 2 to 3-month contract that could end up netting me 2/3 of this goal; with the bookkeeping on top, it will bring me up to between 50 and 60 hours a week of billable time, so in three months I may have recuperated for an extra month of unemployment on the front end (i.e., now, July) or the back end if I find myself again without work in November. Among these two jobs and another yet to come in 2007, I may double my income, or do slightly better. Which would be needed and compensatory for the first long part of this year!

August: hustle hustle.

should be the golden month. I am hustling for work and I just got a little bookkeeping contract that if I do things well, I can do on top of a full time job for the month of August – so that I would be working 12 hour days most days. If I can do that for August, it would get me ready for the 12 hour days of the school year – only with money. Which I am behind on. Just for one month, oh please!
