scrapbook more often

I started using some of my scrapbook supplies for Christmas tags and I love them and it has kinda got the bowl rolling my creativity!

just ran into a scrapbooking friend…i promised we would get together with some wine and hang and scrapbook. I always put it off though. Promise to make a greater effort. Decided i would turn scrapbooking into a family project and enlist the kids. Its their life I am recording!

....i am so horribly behind in my scrapbooks; i wish &/or think all the time of getting more done in that area, but i never manage to do so. I’ve made a few little “collage trip albums” over the years, with little tidbits from my travels, but never quite really making a serious dent in the amount of scrapbooking i’d like to do…

i’ve tons of supplies, albums, photos,,,,,and have kept a separate file-folder of all memoriabilia for each year…kept those things very nicely organized, in fact. The major element always missing is TIME. I just never seem to have the huge blocks of time to sit & really plan out / arrange / compose / some pages,,,as much as i love doing just that. Other things i do i can chip away at in brief snatches: write a line of a poem while riding the bus, read a bit on tarot theory while waiting in a drs. office, etc. Even collaging—i can get away with doing bits at a time. Scrapbooking is so absorbing: i always want to have a whole day set aside to do nothing but, and that just rarely happens. Somehow i got to figure out a way to make that more a part of my life…cuz i do so love it, and love the results.

Anyways, here’s what one of my “completed” albums looks like, from ‘way back in 1985. (Nothing like a twenty year backlog!)

I took this hobby up a year ago. It’s a private thing I do in the morning on Saturdays before my family gets up.

It my private time thing to do.

So I came home to my dinning room completely cleared out. WHAT…MY SCRAPBOOK STUFF…my husband had found a “home” for it in the closet. I WAS NOT DONE. He said that if I don’t use it within like 3 days then it has to go in the closet. URG…no creativity will flow if it is stuck in the closet. I need to see it. I am getting a bigger place with a scrapbook room.

Hey I did 4 pages with the pics I took, and I have started two more. I am getting it done. YEA!!!!!!!!!!

I did two more pages and I have pictures for maybe four more. I am doing good. Wish me luck
