Really not that bad 10 months ago

This was my first piercing after my lobes. I went down to the local piercier, he talked me through everything and we did it. It didnt hurt so much as pinch, and the sound is really odd. but I love the result and still do. Healing was interesting as the bar occasionally got hit until i learned how to work around it. btw, I have really small ears, so most bars are a little long for me.

MY INDUSTRIAL PIERCING 10 months ago

hey guys & gals, im Jhamarcus (17y/o male). i wanted an industrial piercing for a long time but i delayed it because of ROTC and stuff so i gotta tragus piercing but thats another story. I got out of ROTC this year so i went and got my industrial piercing on november 1st and Kolo Body Piercings in Little 5 Points (ATLANTA) i got a blue barbell because i thought the silver was too traditional and i already have silver in my tragus.(prices vary from $50-$100…i paid $85 because i got mine barbell colored. i got mine about 2motnhs and 4 days ago in my left ear. im not gonna lie, the top hole hurt like a bitch but i didnt feel the second one at all. i thought it was funny cuz i like pain but that hurt like hell but it is totally worth it. i also have a tattoo and a tragus piercing so i can tolerate pain pretty well. everyone’s pain tolerance is different so i dont wanna scare u lol but anyway… when i went i had to show my id (16 at the time) and my grandmother signed the consent form. I picked out the wavy barbell but my piercer said to get the straight because it heals easier and to come back for the wavy one. since i knew i was getting a regular barbell i decided to get a colored one. it took them about 30 min. to color my barbell so i held my sister’s hand while she got her monroe piercing. when it was finally my turn, the piercer made 2 marks on my ear and asked me were they okay, they she told me to lay on my back and turned my head. she talked to me the whole time while preparing everything but i knew what i was getting myself into. she had a hallow neddle with a tube on the end (so my sister said) but she wouldnt let me see cuz she said it would make me nervous. she pushed it through the top part of my ear and it felt like something had stung me (burning sensation) then she slid the barbell in the tube so that it would be in when she did the second hole. i didnt feel the second hole at all cause my mind was still concentrated on the first hole. it hurt for about 2 minutes but then it just started throbbing for about 5minutes. all in all i think it was worth it but below are some tips and hints i wrote and posted on wikipedia just to give u a general idea of what NOT to do after you have your industrial>>>>

HINTS AND TIPS:when u get it eat first becasue you may get nauseas or faint. DO NOT bump it because if u do, you might just punched the hell out of the person closets too u. and like the other ads say, you will get a small bump that isnt noticeable and u have to take the earing out and push your ear forward to see it. i had one for about a month but its gone now. its all dependent on your skin because some people get keloids or their body rejects the piercing. it will also get “crusty” while its healing so my piercer (also did my tragus)said to be sure to turn the barbell (WITH CLEAN HANDS OF COARSE) so that it doesnt get stuck in one place. be careful when twirling it becasue the crust can actually get into the piercing and cause some sensitivity while you r moving. another important thing to remeber is, DO NOT let anyone besides you and your piercer touch it. mine is still healing and my piercer said it could take up to a year. hey if u wanna see a few pix of my industrial and tragus just go to facebook and add me as your friend. type in Jhamarcus Jones, im probably gonna be the first to pop up, or u can just email me at jhamarcusjones91@yahoo.com and i can email u a pic.

Industrial 11 months ago

I’ve already pierced my belly button and there’s nothing else I really want to do except maybe more ear piercings….I feel like an industrial is pretty cool except a lot of people online say it hurts pretty bad and sucks because it’s sore for a long time after. I really want to do it though and I’m trying to talk myself into it even though reviews are discouraging. I figure if I could deal with the needle for my belly ring I could deal with the cartilage right?

i got an industrial piercing about a little over a month ago. dont get me wrong, to me it hurt. my best friend was with my and was laughing the whole time since i was so scared.

but a small bump showed up on the side of the holes and im wondering if its infected. i dont even touch it that much anymore and clean it about twice a day.

just got my industrial piercing about two hours ago.

honestly.. It WAS painful, but its not anything unbearble, besides, no pain, no gain, right? But in all honestly, it wasn’t awful. Just enough to make your eyes water and be glad that its over. But I would do it again, without a doubt. It looks beautiful, and at th emoment its not sore at all.

hope this helps convince someone :]
its gorgous, unique, and well worth it.

Dont let blogs scare you! 15 months ago

I had wanted this piercing for months and I was sooo scared because of things I had read on here, I almost didnt get it done. I went to my piercer a few times before I went through with it to talk about the procedure, and about care and what could result if something went wrong. I will say that when I did go through with it, it hurts a little, but only for a few seconds, then its just kind of tingly. If you want to get this done DO IT! Ive had mine for about 3 weeks, I love it and its healed to the point where it doesnt hurt anymore, and even when I bump it its just kind of an oops. Dont read all these blogs and get scared, I would definately go through with it again.
