Aww… the mystic, the bawdy guts, the racy side of New Orleans. Our two teens had heard and they were curious. So once they learnd we were cruising out of the port of New Orleans they were wanting to explore this city.
The first afternoon we introduced them to Bourbon Sreet, gumbo, street performers and beads. ( My daughter & I kept the girls undercover, but they did both see how beads are distributed normally, I’m pretty sure I caught a glimpse of a smile on my sons face.)
Our second day started early at Mardi Gras World, (highly recommend) followed by a lunch of gumbo, beignet’s & pralines. Afterward the three of us shopped, minus Hubby who was hanging out on the street with a beer looking at the fun side of N.O.
We finished the day with oyster’s on the half shell at Felix’s and a ghost tour.
My teens loved it & Baby Girl wants to spend spring break there with her girlfriends….Yikes….What have I done? 23 months ago
