    Worth doing!

I realised as I finished reading book four that I should have made the reading of the 7 books a 43T goal – and commented on each book after I finished them. What a shame I didn’t think to do that.

I’d read the first 6 books as they came out. But what I thought would be interesting would be to read them back-to-back before buying the final book. I finished the final book last night.

It was a great adventure. My only complaint is that book four used a really lazy technique of writing the back-history in the last chapter. Hence the reader had no chance of working out for themselves why things were happening.

For the last few nights I have been dreaming about the books. I’ve not done that before. A great experience – perhaps I’ll do it again in 5 or 10 years’ time.

    Worth doing!

I finished Goblet of Fire today.

Next up is Order of the Phoenix. 3 people have told me that it’s 800 pages of Harry bitching so I’m not really looking forward to this one.

I tore through the first four, but something tells me this one is going to take me awhile. I saw an article last week that said that this book is one of the top ones British folk can’t make it through. I’m not British, but still…

    Worth doing!

I tried to read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone when I was a junior in college (2000), but made it only through the first chapter before I lost interest.

I bought the first 6 books for my husband for Christmas last year and after he finished reading the books, I tried again.

So far, I’ve read the first 3. (Sorcerer’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets and Prisoner of Azkaban). Goblet of Fire is next.
